hey there

Hey, I’m Jackie Hausler!

I’m a DIYer, writer, children’s book author, sustainability advocate, small-town girl and lover of all things home. I’m here to teach you what I’ve learned and hopefully make you laugh a little lot along the way.

Do It Yourself Kind of Style

My mother is a master crafter and my Dad is a Mason. So, getting my hands dirty, problem-solving and hard work are all things that come natural to me. But I don’t sleep on what I’ve learned. I share all of my DIY tips and tricks with you on the haus2home.com blog so you can fulfill your home dreams, too!

Very much into:

Antiquing, pasta, adventuring, the great outdoors, belly laughs, horses, music and creating houses into homes. (Hausler, haus2home…see what I did there?)

Favorite title: “Mommy”

These two made me a mom. They bring me so much joy and drive me absolutely insane. That means we’re doing it right. Right?

Fun fact: Once a upon a time I built a doghouse out of 100% reclaimed wood…

But the adventure didn’t stop there. I borrowed my husbands truck, loaded the doghouse, parked it at work and afterwards drove about 10 miles per hour through the City of Buffalo to drop it off for a fundraising raffle at the Habitat for Humanity. Spoiler alert: it won an award! Then I did it again. The second doghouse was in a Valu Home Centers commercial where I played the role of “mom” with someone else’s kid. (No one knew I was actually pregnant at the time!) I donated that one to the SPCA and a cute little rescue pal claimed it as it’s home.

“Go Bills.”

(That’s how we say hi, c-ya later, good job, love you
and…well…pretty much everything here in Buffalo. Or as Josh Allen said when he won MVP, “Be good, do good. God bless and Go Bills.”)
